Stroke Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation that works with stroke survivors, carers, health professionals, government, and the public to reduce the impact of stroke on the Australian community. Our mission is to Prevent Stroke, Save Lives and Enhance Recovery.

The Clinical Council is a subcommittee of the Board and is responsible for providing advice and clinical input to the Board and the work of Stroke Foundation on: strategy, clinical guidelines, data performance, other programs, public health and policy documents, Stroke Foundation publications (e.g. fact sheets, brochures), presentations, and publications in peer reviewed journals and questions received from the general public and media.

The group comprises leading stroke clinicians, academics and researchers. Clinical Council members represent core disciplines involved in stroke care (allied health, nursing, medical: acute, rehabilitation and paediatrics). These positions are honorary appointments with a three-year term (maximum two terms).

Stroke Foundation values diversity and brings together leading clinicians, academics and researchers in the area of stroke. Members are invited to join based on their expertise, availability and willingness to meet the requirements outlined.
